You, my Master, I can do all things. Oh, how painfully an ironic smile wounds, especially when one [appears

our wheels to find help, when true help and healing must be found first in You. Forgive us for forgetting how

much we need you, above everyone and everything else. We come to you and bring you the places we are

hurting. You see where no one else can fully see or understand. You know the pain we've carried. The burdens.

My Jesus, You see how weak I am of myself. Therefore, You direct my affairs. And know, Jesus, that without You I will not budge for any cause, but with You, I will take on the most difficult things. Used with permission of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the B.V.M. Reflection: Have confidence in the Lord with all your heart, and do not depend upon your prudence. In all your ways, consider him, and he will direct your steps. (Proverbs 3:5,6)

Saint Faustina commits to be led by God alone. - Lord, I am surrounded by influences that tell me to make my own decisions and forge my path by my own desires. In the noise of this world, help me to hear Your Voice. Teach me to learn to listen for Your direction. Saint Faustina gives an example. Even the noblest of causes is not to be undertaken unless You are leading me to it. I can enter into the most ridiculous of actions if You are not by my side. Therefore, Lord, direct me; direct me completely. I do not want to be half-heartedly listening to You, and also trying to do my own will. I want to have confidence in Your direction with all of my heart. I do not want to rely on what I can know and discern. For I am weak, and, of myself, cannot achieve anything. Direct me, Lord. I pray this not only for myself. Direct those whom I love. Let the spark of Your Holy Spirit illuminate the hearts of all those for whom I now pray. Only You! Love casts out fear. Since I came to love God with my whole being and with all the strength of my heart, fear has left me. Even if I were to hear the most terrifying things about God's justice, I would not fear Him at all, because I have come to know Him well. God is love, and His Spirit is peace. I see now that my deeds which have flowed from love are more perfect than those which I have done out of fear. I have placed my trust in God and fear nothing. I have given myself over to His holy will; let Him do with me as He wishes, and I will still love Him.

Deeds that flow from love are more perfect than those done out of fear. Jesus, I want to grow in love for You. But everything passed. I know that my night shall pass. I know You will remove the darkness, my God, and that tomorrow solace with awakening. The massive barrier will collapse and I shall breathe once more. Tomorrow my poor soul will be cared for and I shall live anew. And I shall say; thank you, my God, because this was all a nightmare; the bad dream of a night that now belongs to the past. Meanwhile, grant me patience and hope. Your will be done, my God. Amen.

Lord, I am once again before your mystery. I am constantly embraced by Your presence which is so often transformed into absence. I look for Your presence in the absence of Your presence. When I look at the immensity of the world, I am under the impression that many no longer have hope in You. Even I make my plans, set my goals, and lay the stones of a building that seems to have no architect but me. Nowadays, we are often creatures who set our hopes in ourselves. Give me, Lord, the most profound conviction that I will destroy my future if hope I You is not present. Make me understand deeply that, despite the chaos of things around me, despite the nights I must overcome, despite the weariness of my days, my life is in Your hands. Help me see the earth you show me on the horizon of the day to come will be more beautiful and better. The mercy of God is hidden in the Blessed Sacrament. The voice of the Lord speaks to us from the throne of His mercy: “Come to Me, all of you.” Talk less and listen more to hear Our Lord speaking to you as He calls, “Come to Me.” Now, we can’t match the number of hours she spent before the Monstrance admiring our Lord, nor can we visit the Blessed Sacrament during these times, but we can spend more time in prayer in our home and know Jesus is hidden in the Blessed Sacrament waiting there for a visit when we can. In the meantime, find a picture of the Divine Mercy and gaze at it as you pray. Be still, be quiet, and know that I am God. I will be with you through all things. Jesus, I trust in You.

I am learning how to be good from Jesus, from Him who is goodness itself, so that I may be called a daughter of the heavenly Father. This morning, when someone hurt my feelings, I tried, in that suffering, to unite my will to the will of God, and I praised God by my silence. In the afternoon, I went for a five-minute adoration, when suddenly I saw the crucifix, I have on my breast come alive. Jesus said to me, My daughter, suffering will be a sign to you that I am with you. My soul was greatly moved by these words.

Estoy aprendiendo a ser buena de Jesús, de Aquel que es la bondad misma, para que pueda ser llamada hija del Padre celestial. Esta mañana, cuando alguien hirió mis sentimientos, traté, en ese sufrimiento, de unir mi voluntad a la voluntad de Dios, y alabé a Dios con mi silencio. Por la tarde, fui a una adoración de cinco minutos, cuando de repente vi que el crucifijo que tengo en mi pecho cobraba vida. Jesús me dijo: Hija Mía, el sufrimiento será una señal para ti de que Yo estoy contigo. Mi alma se conmovió grandemente con estas palabras.

Reflection: May my tongue adhere to my jaws, if I do not remember you. (Psalm 137:6) Saint Faustina has fixed her heart on not offending Jesus. Jesus, may I learn from Saint Faustina. When I have fears and become distracted by worry, help me to recall that I should not fear hardships or suffering. I want to fear offending You more than I fear anything else. I do not want to make You sad. Help me to keep Your Face always before my eyes, and to long for Your joy above all other things. Jesus, I pray for anyone this day who is distracted by worry and overcome by fear. I ask You to replace that fear with a holy fear of offending You. May we all remember You for the Love and Mercy that You pour out on us, and may we fear nothing except that we might forget You, offend You, or make You sad.

Lord, in the silence of this new day, I open the door to peace. I come to ask You for peace, wisdom, and strength. Today, I want to look at the world with eyes filled with love; I want to be patient, understanding, humble, meek, and good. To see Your children beyond their outward appearance, as You see them Yourself, in order to appreciate the kindness of each one. Close my ears to idle words, keep my tongue from gossip, that I may only have thoughts of blessings. I want to be so well-intentioned and just that all who approach me may feel Your presence. Cuando tenga miedos y me distraiga la preocupación, ayúdame a recordar que no debo temer las dificultades ni el sufrimiento. Quiero temer ofenderte más que a cualquier otra cosa. I was not always like this, and I have not always prayed for You to lead me. I prefer my own way, but I pray that you will guide me. I dreamed of days of glory, and pride led my steps. Thousands of illnesses, a thousand and one misunderstandings, intimate conflicts, nervous breakdowns and obsessions, resentments and envies, melancholy and sadness, limitations and helplessness, our own and that of others, pains, nails, torture. You, the just one, the obedient and submissive servant to the Father, when your hour came, You surrendered Yourself peacefully, and You freely accepted to drink the cup of sorrow to its bitter end. Actions of the human conspiracy did not fall upon You blind and fatal, but You took them on voluntarily, knowing that they were not due to human intrigue, that the Father permitted them. You carried the cross with love. I thank you for this lesson, Christ my Savior. Suffering is not conquered by complaining, fighting, or by resisting, but by assuming it. When we take our cross lovingly, not only do we accompany You, Jesus of Nazareth, on the road to Calvary, but we cooperate with You in the redemption of the world. Perfect freedom consists not only of taking up the cross with love but to be grateful for it, knowing that in this manner we take on human suffering and we participate in the transcendental task of redeeming humanity. 29 de diciembre [de 1936]. Hoy, después de la Santa Comunión, escuché una voz en mi alma: Hija mía, prepárate, porque vendré inesperadamente. Jesús, ¿no quieres decirme la hora que espero con tanto anhelo? Hija mía, es por tu propio bien. Lo aprenderás, pero no ahora; Mantente alerta. Oh Jesús, haz conmigo lo que quieras. Sé que Tú eres el Salvador misericordioso y que no cambiarás hacia mí en la hora de mi muerte. Si en este momento me estás mostrando tanto amor especial, y eres condescendiente a unirte a mí de una manera tan íntima y con tan gran bondad, espero aún más en la hora de mi muerte. Saint Faustina commits to be led by God alone. - Lord, I am surrounded by influences that tell me to

make my own decisions and forge my path by my own desires. In the noise of this world, help me to

hear Your Voice. Teach me to learn to listen for Your direction. Saint Faustina gives the example.

Even the noblest of causes is not to be undertaken unless You are leading me to it. I can enter into

the most ridiculous of actions if You are not by my side. Therefore, Lord, direct me; direct me

completely. I do not want to be half-heartedly listening to You, and also trying to do my own will. I

want to have confidence in Your direction with all of my heart. I do not want to rely on what I can

know and discern. For I am weak, and, of myself, cannot achieve anything. Direct me, Lord. I pray

this not only for myself. Direct those whom I love. Let the spark of Your Holy Spirit illuminate the

hearts of all those for whom I now pray. Only You! Only You guide and direct the steps of those

whom I love; keep them today, and ever, safely on the path to Your Kingdom.

Hold on to your faith, it’s all we have. Continue to pray now more than ever before. All one has

to do is look at our country and the world and know we are in deep trouble.

acerca de la justicia de Dios, no le temería en absoluto, porque he llegado a conocerlo bien. Dios es

amor, y Su Espíritu es paz. Ahora veo que mis obras que han fluido del amor son más perfectas que

Saint Faustina has fixed her heart on not offending Jesus. Jesus, may I learn from Saint Faustina. When I have fears and become distracted by worry, help me to recall that I should not fear hardships or suffering. I want to fear offending You more than I fear anything else. I do not want to make You sad. Help me to keep Your Face always before my eyes, and to long for Your joy above all other things. Jesus, I pray for anyone this day who is distracted by worry and overcome by fear. I ask You to replace that fear with a holy fear of offending You. May we all remember You for the Love and Mercy that You pour out on us, and may we fear nothing except that we might forget You, offend You, or make You sad.

The gift of dialogue - Lord God, we praise You and glorify You for the beauty of the gift named

dialogue. It is a favorite child of God, for it is like a steam incessantly gushing within the Holy Trinity.

Dialogue unties knots, dissipates suspicions, opens doors, resolves conflicts, and makes people

greater. It is the bond of unity and the “mother” of brotherhood. Christ Jesus, the unity of the gospel

community, makes us realize that our lack of understanding is almost always due to a lack of

dialogue. Help us understand that dialogue is neither an argument nor a battle of ideas, but a search

for the truth between two or more people. Help us understand that we need each other and that we

complement each other; we have something to give and a need to receive; I can see what others

cannot, and they can see what I do not.

El don del diálogo - Señor Dios, te alabamos y te glorificamos por la belleza del don llamado diálogo.

Es un hijo favorito de Dios, porque es como un vapor que brota incesantemente dentro de la

Santísima Trinidad. El diálogo desata nudos, disipa sospechas, abre puertas, resuelve conflictos y

hace que las personas sean más grandes. Es el vínculo de la unidad y la "madre" de la fraternidad.

Cristo Jesús, la unidad de la comunidad evangélica, nos hace darnos cuenta de que nuestra falta de

comprensión se debe casi siempre a la falta de diálogo. Ayúdanos a entender que el diálogo no es ni

una discusión ni una batalla de ideas, sino una búsqueda de la verdad entre dos o más personas.

El don del diálogo - Señor Dios, te alabamos y te glorificamos por la belleza del don llamado diálogo.

Es un hijo favorito de Dios, porque es como un vapor que brota incesantemente dentro de la

Santísima Trinidad. El diálogo desata nudos, disipa sospechas, abre puertas, resuelve conflictos y

hace que las personas sean más grandes. Es el vínculo de la unidad y la "madre" de la fraternidad.

Cristo Jesús, la unidad de la comunidad evangélica, nos hace darnos cuenta de que nuestra falta de comprensión se debe casi siempre a la falta de diálogo. Ayúdanos a entender que el diálogo no es ni una discusión ni una batalla de ideas, sino una búsqueda de la verdad entre dos o más personas.

Ayúdanos a entender que nos necesitamos unos a otros y que nos complementamos; tenemos algo que dar y una necesidad que recibir; Puedo ver lo que otros no pueden, y ellos pueden ver lo que yo no.

When I entered my solitude, I heard these words: At the hour of their death, I defend as My own

glory every soul that will say this chaplet; or when others say it for a dying person, the

indulgence is the same. When this chaplet is said by the bedside of a dying person, God’s

anger is placated, unfathomable mercy envelops the soul, and the very depths of My tender

mercy are moved for the sake of the sorrowful Passion of My Son.

Oh, if only everyone realized how great the Lord’s mercy is and how much we all need that mercy,

especially at that crucial hour!

Cuando entré en mi soledad, escuché estas palabras: En la hora de su muerte, defiendo como Mi

propia gloria a cada alma que diga esta coronilla; o cuando otros lo digan por una persona

moribunda, la indulgencia es la misma. Cuando esta coronilla es dicha junto a la cama de una

persona moribunda, la ira de Dios se aplaca, la misericordia insondable envuelve el alma, y

las profundidades mismas de Mi tierna misericordia se mueven por el bien de la dolorosa

Pasión de Mi Hijo.

¡Oh, si todos se dieran cuenta de cuán grande es la misericordia del Señor y cuánto todos

necesitamos esa misericordia, especialmente en esa hora crucial!

Detachment is experiencing our feelings without allowing them to control us. We step back and look at things

objectively. We let go and accept what we cannot change. We detach from others’ choices, knowing that their

spiritual work is not ours to do. We choose how we will act rather than just reacting. We step away from

harmful cravings. Detachment is a deep breath of peace and patience in response to unexpected anger. We

can listen without losing ourselves. With detachment, we see our mistakes honestly, make amends and start

afresh. Detachment allows us to be in the world but not of it. It frees us to lead our lives with grace. May we all

work towards the grace of detachment.

While I was saying the chaplet, I heard a voice that said, Oh, what great graces I will grant to souls

who say this chaplet; the very depths of My tender mercy are stirred for the sake of those who

say the chaplet. Write down these words, My daughter. Speak to the world about My mercy; let

all mankind recognize My unfathomable mercy. It is a sign of the end times; after it will come

the day of justice. While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fount of My mercy; let

them profit from the Blood and Water which gushed forth for them.

O human souls, where are you going to hide on the day of God’s anger: Take refuge now in the fount

of God’s mercy. O what a great multitude of souls I see! They worshiped the Divine Mercy and will be

singing the hymn of praise for all eternity.

Reflection: But God, (who is rich in mercy,) for his exceeding charity wherewith he loved us,

Jesus, You have given us a great gift and access to Your Mercy through the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

Help us to say this prayer often and with devotion. Help us to realize that there are great graces

available to souls who say this prayer.

Saint Faustina, pray for us to be ignited with fervor to pray this prayer of Mercy. Help us to realize that

it is a refuge for us. Please pray for me and all of those I love that we may find our way more deeply

into God's heart through this prayer.

God embraces with His incomprehensible love the soul who lives by His will. I understood how much

God loves us, how simple He is, though incomprehensible, and how easy it is to commune with Him,

despite His great majesty. With no one, I feel as free and as much at ease as with Him. Even a

mother and her truly loving child do not understand each other as well as God and I do. When I was

in that state of communion with God, I saw two particular persons, and their sad interior condition was

revealed to me. They were in a sorrowful state, but I trust that they, too, will glorify the mercy of God.

Reflection: Can a woman forget her infant, so as not to have pity on the son of her womb? and if

she should forget, yet will not I forget thee. (Isaiah 49:15)

Saint Faustina feels a deeper understanding between herself and God than a mother and child.

God, Saint Faustina tells us that Your Love is simple and that You are easy to commune with. May I

come to know You in an intimate way!

Lord Jesus, You are at once majestic and simple, incomprehensible and near. Help me to freely

relate to You and not fear to seek out this deeper union. Teach me to become a close friend as Saint

Faustina was while remaining in awe of Your Glory.

I pray this day for all souls with a sad interior. I pray that You draw especially near to them with Your

joy!

When I receive Holy Communion, I entreat and beg the Savior to heal my tongue, so that I may never

fail in love of my neighbor.

Reflection: Death and life are in the power of the tongue. (Proverbs 18:21)

In the moment of receiving Holy Communion, Saint Faustina begs Jesus to preserve her in her love

of her neighbor by protecting her words with His Grace.

Jesus, my Savior, I can only echo the wise words of Saint Faustina. I beg You to heal my tongue. The

very power of death and life is contained there. Help me to guard my words so carefully. Prevent me

from saying things I should not. Help me learn to keep a holy silence when I am about to say

something that would cause me to fail in loving others. Teach me to find words that echo Your Light,

Your Healing, Your Presence, Your Mercy, and Your Love. Jesus, my Savior, help me to remember in

a particular way to make this prayer for healing of my tongue at the moment when I receive You in

I went immediately to our chapel to rest a while. Then, suddenly, I heard these words in my soul: Do

not fear anything. I am with you. These matters are in My hands and I will bring them to fruition

according to My mercy, for nothing can oppose My will.

Reflection: Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not turn away, for I am your God. I have

strengthened you, and I have assisted you, and the right hand of my just one has upheld you.

(Isaiah 41:10)

Prayer: Lord, give me the faith to see with my heart and not with my eyes. Let the joy fill my heart

when things are as You will them to be, and not how I would arrange them. Allow me to pass over the

things that the world would deem as important and become able to see the vision that You have for

the people and things in my life.

Jesus, wherever there is fear, in my life or in the life of someone I love, Come! Come and give an

unshakable certitude. No matter what the "outside" looks like. No matter what is visible or how bad it

Lord Jesus, it was Your great dream; that we are one as You and the Father, and that our unity is

fulfilled in Your unity. It was Your great commandment Your last will and distinctive banner for those

who follow You; that we love one another as You loved us, and You loved us as the Father loved

You. That was the source and magnitude of the model. With twelve, You made a family of pilgrims.

You were truthful and sincere with them, demanding and understanding, but most of all You were

very patient. Just as in a family, You warned them against dangers, you encouraged them in difficult

times you rejoiced in their success, you washed their feet, and you served them at the table. First You

gave us the example and then You gave us the command; Love one another as I have loved you. In

this new family of fraternity which we belong to today, You are a gift from the Father, and we accept

You as our brother, Lord Jesus, You will be the strength and the joy which bind us together. If you are

not living among us, this community will collapse like an artificial structure. You renew Yourself and

come to life in each member, and for this reason, we strive to respect each other as we would respect

You; and Your presence will question us when unity and peace are threatened in our midst.

Therefore, we ask that You remain very much alive within our hearts. Tear down the high walls of

fuente y la magnitud del modelo. Con doce, hiciste una familia de peregrinos. Fuiste sincero y sincero con
